Seven Days In Portugal

As promised, a short report about our stay in Portugal's south - the Algarve. Surrounded by plenty of bizarre rocks, even at the beach, the Algarve is one of Europe's most beautiful places to visit. Sandy beaches and crystal clear water invite you to swim, to dive or just to lay in the sun. We stayed in a resort called Montinho De Ouro, about 85km from Faro's Airport, 3km from Praia Da Luz and 6km from breathtaking Praia Do Camilo. Most of the time was reserved for swimming and sunbathing (incl. a heavy sunburn), although we had time to visit towns like Lagos or Portimão. Highly recommended is a boat tour that takes you through all the caves along the coast. If you would like to enjoy the "last sausage before America" then you should visit Sagres and Cabo de São Vicente. Photos now available online here and a short video will follow once it's finalized.

Wie versprochen, hier ein kurzer Bericht über unseren Urlaub in Portugal's Süden - der Algarve. Umgeben von bizarren Felsen, soagar am Strand, ist die Algarve einer der schönsten Regionen Europas. Sandstrände und kristallklares Wasser laden zum Schwimmen, zum Tauchen oder einfach nur zum Sonnenbaden ein. Unsere Unterkunft war ein Resort - dem Montinho De Ouro - etwa 85km vom Flughafen Faro, 3km von Praia Da Luz und etwa 6km vom atemberaubenden Praia Do Camilo. Die meiste Zeit war zum Schwimmen und zum Sonnenbaden rserviert, obwohl wir auch die Zeit gefunden haben um uns Städte von Lagos oder Portimão anzusehen. Sehr empfehlenswert ist eine Bootsfahrt, die direkt durch alle Grotten entlang der Küste führt. Falls Ihr die "letzte Bratwurst von Amerika" geniessen möchtet, dann solltet Ihr Sagres und Cabo de São Vicente besuchen. Fotos gibt es nun online hier und ein kurzes Video folgt sobald es fertig ist.
