This upcoming week is packed with culture for us. On next Thursday, December 4, we will head to the St. Patrick's Cathedral to see a performance of Händel's "Messiah" which is presented annually in Dublin since 1742. This is a charity concert and all proceeds are in aid of the "Bóthar" organisation in order to support an AIDS project in Zimbabwe. On Sunday, December 7, we will enjoy a concert of the world famous, New York-based Harlem Gospel Choir, supported by the Dublin Gospel Choir at Dublin's "Vicar Street". It was a poor week for both, the Irish and German soccer teams. Ireland has lost his match 2-3 against Poland at Croke Park, Dublin and Germany (currently 2nd in the world ranking) stultified itself with 1-2 against a C-Team from England in Berlin. Much work to do for both teams on their road to South Africa 2010. Es war eine schwache Woche für die irische und deutsche Fussball-Nationalmannschaft. Millions are voting in what is already one of the most historic of U.S. elections.
