We used the long Bank Holiday weekend to head off to "Ireland's University City" Maynooth, located in County Kildare. Travelling by train, Maynooth is very easy accessible as it is an hour journey from Malahide. The city itself has plenty of gothic buildings, a cathedral and of course - the "
St. Patrick's College". Maynooth is also the seat of the Irish Catholic Bishops’ Conference. It is worth a visit. Pictures as usual at this

Wir nutzten das vergangene lange Feiertagswochenende um uns einmal "die Universitätsstadt Irlands" Maynooth anzusehen. Maynooth befindet sich in der Grafschaft Kildare und ist relativ einfach mit dem Zug zu erreichen, da die Fahrtzeit nur rund eine Stunde von Malahide aus beträgt. Die Stadt ist geprägt von einer Reihe gothischer Gebäude, einer Kathedrale und natürlich dem "St. Patrick's College". Maynooth ist ausserdem der Sitz der katholischen Bischofskonferenz Irlands.
