Weekend and last (working) week

This update covers the last couple of days. It is now Carol's last working week and Sebastian's first week in Hyderabad. On Saturday we started straight with visiting local sights in Hyderabad, including Hussain Lake with the popular Buddha stute and Biria Mandir (Temple). Indian architecture and culture is very rich and impressive. On Sunday we were heading to the world's largest film studios, Ramoji Film City.
The film industry in India is the world highest productive one, more than the US or any other county. There are two different locations, the equivalent to Hollywood, Bollywood, which is located in Mumbai (Bombay) and Ramoji Film City close to Hyderabad. India is not co-producing movies with other countries therefore everything is copied for a film set, even an airport. We moved through the entire area with a visitor bus. By the way, the film "Om Shanti Om" is currently India's number 1 movie. You can watch the trailer below this post. On Monday we visited "Shilparaman". A crafts village within Hyderabad, where you can find all these little stands, selling carpets, chains, traditional Indian things.

Dieser Eintrag beschaeftigt sich mit den letzten Tagen. Nun ist es Carols letzte Arbeitswoche und Sebastian's allererste Woche in Hyderabad. Am Samstag haben wir gleich mit dem Besuchen von lokalen Orten, einschliesslich des Hussain Lake mit der beruehmten Buddha-Statue und den Biria Mandir Tempel. Indische Architektur und Kultur ist sehr reich und beeindruckend. Am Sonntag sind wir dann zu den weltgroessten Filmstudios, Ramoji Film City, gefahren. Die Filmindustrie in Indien ist die produktivste weltweit. Es gibt zwei verschiedene Orte, das Equivalent zu Hollywood, Bollywood, welches sich in Mumbai (Bombay) befindet und die Ramoji Film Studios in der Naehe von Hyderabad. Indien macht keine Co-Produktionen, deshalb ist alles fuer ein Filmset nachgestellt, selbst ein Flughafen. Wir fuhren mit einem Besucherbus durch das gesamte Areal. Uebrigens, der Film "Om Shanti Om", ist augenblicklich der Nummer 1-Film in Indien. Der Trailer kann unter dem Eintrag angesehen werden. Am Montag haben wir dann "Shilparaman" besucht, ein Kunstgewerbe Dorf in Hyderabad, wo man diese ganzen kleinen Staende findet, die Teppiche, Ketten, traditionelle Indische Dinge verkaufen.

Sign Of Life...

Well, well, to be honest, we're extremely lazy in terms of posting stuff. Actually it's due to lack of time. We had such a great time in Kenya and if you follow us at Twitter you know what we're talking about...next up...hopefully a nice summer.  Ja, ja, um ehrlich zu sein, sind wir wirklich sehr faul wenn es darum geht hier etwas zu posten. Aber das hat auch zeitliche Gründe, es fehlt einfach an Zeit. Wir hatten so eine schöne Zeit in Kenia und falls Ihr uns bei Twitter begleitet, wisst Ihr, von was wir sprechen. Als nächstes kommt hoffentlich ein schöner Sommer.
